ProLine GMS80A Conductor Sheet Music Stand Review

All musicians know that dilemma of having to choose between a "permanent" stand and a flimsy fold-up stand when taking the show on the road. Manhassets are the dominant brand for heavy, on-stage stands, but they are not easy to carry from place to place. Recently, plastic fold-ups have come on the market as well as a number of metal take-apart, fold-up stands. I chose the ProLine GMS80A as my traveling stand about two years ago.
ProLine is not light. That's a drawback for carrying. But the weight makes it a serious stand for holding the music and to ensure stability in most conditions. Its folding legs and collapsing stand sections mean easy storage in the car's trunk. The platform is solid and large, able to handle three unfolded pages with little trouble. The lip is nicely deep, so music is never in danger of falling off. The finish is hard and durable, despite the usual banging my stand takes in its travels. Finally, ProLine is priced below the more expensive Nilton, yet for me offered all that I wanted. An excellent stand for all purposes.

On Stage Classic Single-X Keyboard Stand Review

Purchased this stand in conjunction with my acquisition of the Casio Privia 330 as I am learning piano. The stand is sturdy enough for home use although I can see if you really bang the keys hard on your keyboard it can cause the stand to wobble a bit. An earlier review said that this stand is not good for the Privia which I disagree with. The rubber "grips" on the stand are adjustable to the width of the keyboard resting on it. Initially, it appears that the stand is too wide and the Privia would be resting on the metal bars which would cause the keyboard to be unsecure and slide. All you have to do is twist & move the rubber "grips" in towards the center so that they rest underneath the Privia. Overall a very good stand.

On Stage KS7150 Table Top Keyboard Stand Review

I had been kicking myself for about 2 years, because I purchased an electronic keyboard with intentions of our son taking lessons in the future (he was only 2-years-old when we bought the keyboard).
I bought this stand hoping that 1. It would be sturdy enough to hold a full, 88-key, Casio Previa 100 easily and 2. Would be able to hold up to a 5-year-old, who has the tendency to kind of lean on tables and put his weight down on everything.
As soon as I opened the box, I was pleased. The stand "looked" sturdy and well made, but proved to require no assembly, just unfold, adjust the width and voila!
My one concern came to a screeching halt as soon as I put the keyboard stand in place. My one reservation was that if the angle of the legs were 45 degrees, that it might topple over easily. Keep in mind, I've got a 5-year-old running about and things get banged into. He is my live-in durability tester. However, all of my fears were put to rest in a matter of moments. I put the keyboard on the stand and noticed that the legs jet out at the sides just a bit, so there's no concern of the stand being knocked over to the side.
I do have to say that my stand is always stationary and is against a wall. I cannot really say how it would fair in another environment, but for our specific uses, it's absolutely perfect.
