This is the best light I've used based on it's: brightness, color of light, ability to light 4 pages and battery life of the rechargable lithium battery. The light intensity does not diminish until the battery is nearly depleated. I have tried all the Mighty Bright styles including the orchestra model. Those are all good, but not in this league. I'm glad to find a great product made in the U.S.A.

Model LED34 produces twice as much light as model LED17 and completely floods a 3 or 4 page score. It is designed for conductors, piano players, or people who just want more light. Lotus Design engineers have applied the most advanced lighting and battery technology to the design of Lotus Light. The light itself is produced by 34 hybrid Nichia LEDs (light emitting diodes). LEDs don't get hot and they are not fragile like other bulbs. They are so durable that they will never need replacing. Lotus Light is powered by a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. It will produce powerful white light for 3 hours on high and up to 6 hours on low, and has a custom-engineered rapid charging circuit so it only takes one hour to recharge. Lotus Light comes with a universal switching power supply, so you can charge it anywhere in the world. PURE WHITE LIGHT - The first thing most people notice is the quality of the light itself. Lotus Design use a special hybrid LED which is designed to diffuse the light so there are no hot spots or voids. These LEDs produce a natural, pure white color. It is not yellow like an incandescent bulb. It is not blue like fluorescent light or cheaper LEDs. In fact, it is the same color temperature as the flash on a typical camera. STIFF & FLEXIBLE ARM - The light shade is connected to a 10" long flexible arm so you can direct the light exactly were you want it. Our custom designed arm is stiff enough to stay where you adjust it. LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY POWER - have big advantages over older style batteries. Most lights use disposable alkaline batteries which are costly and toxic to the environment. Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries are an option, but they don't hold as much power as Lithium batteries and they lose their charge rather quickly.
