EastWest Symphonic Orchestra Sample Collection Software - Gold Complete Review

(More customer reviews)As some of the negative reviews have pointed out, yes, you need to spend the extra 40 or so dollars on an iLock to be able to utilize this product. However, it's well worth it in the end. You simply won't find better orchestral samples around, and the PLAY sampler engine is perfectly suited to them, allowing endless options and customizable features to get that perfect sound you want for each individual instrument or ensemble.
Whether you're an aspiring composer or a musician simply searching for that perfect symphonic sound, Eastwest doesn't disappoint. The sounds at first seem perfectly tailored for a huge, cinematic score, but any type of music that requires orchestral instruments will benefit from this...and if the default settings aren't awesome enough, you can tweak them to fit your every need. At this price it's a steal (though keep in mind you'll need that iLock), and will work with multiple different computer platforms, sequencers, and MIDI keyboards.
For anyone who desires that perfect, larger-than-life symphonic force for their music, I would suggest Eastwest/Quantum Leap Gold over all other options. You won't regret it.

Now, EastWest/Quantum Leap accomplish this through separately recording the natural hall ambiance after the instrument has stopped playing until the sound has actually ceased. The software triggers this "release trail" at the end of every note and adjusts the dynamics so that the samples blend seamlessly, truly placing the listener in the hall with the orchestra.PLAYPLAY isn't just a sampler. The PLAY system is a professional, fully integrated sample playback software solution for those with the most demanding production requirements. That means no more trips back and forth between computers and no more KVM switching when loading projects. There's also no need to buy additional software. The PLAY interface is designed to eliminate clu
