This means that Gold Crest series 12000, 36000, 37000 or 38000 are the appropriate lights for this particular adapter. This is a regulated AC adapter with an output of 4.8V. Perhaps the previous reviewer did not match up the adapter to the specific light as mine worked perfectly.
