Arturia ARP 2600 V 2.0 Virtual Synth Software Review

I installed the ARP 2600 V2 on my compuuter running XP Pro then shortly there after, my hard drive crashed. I am not able to retrieve my data from that drive. Arturia only allows for one install which in order to activate you have to go to their site and copy paste and jump through hoops to activate. Anyway, the few days I did have it on my computer, the synth is wonderful. I contacted Arturia after my computer crashed and they told me I need to purchase a DONGLE to recover my activation key from my old hard drive (the one that crashed and cannot be retrieved.) They turn a deaf ear and don't understand the situation and are very slow with their customer service. I paid $200.00 for the ARP V2 and feel totally abandoned by Arturia. They love to send out emails for their new products but at the same time, do not help the musicians that have patronized them and put the money in their pockets. I have been working on this issue for a month now.........
I purchased the ARP 2600 V2 from Amazon through [...] and received it very quickly packaged well. [...] gets 5 stars from me. I would buy from them again without hesitation.
Arturia needs new management or they will not last as a successful company. Even if a soft synth is the coolest thing on the planet, a company selling such an item must have good support for that product or else they will slowly go out of business. Especially when the product is tied to a computer which has a tendency to crash. Take care of your customers and make it easy to use and activate your product and allow for at least 2-3 installs in the event of a computer issue to let your customers know that you care. I realize that some people do pirate the software but some of us just want it to work. Remember, music creation doesn't want to wait for anything.

Pearlman, whose initials would form the name of ARP Instruments, became interested in instruments for electronic music as early as 1948, when he was a student at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. This was a means for him to associate his two passions: electronic music and the piano. In 1969, he created ARP Instruments (originally called Tonus Inc.) with David Friend and Lewis G. Pollock. The company, based in Newton Highlands (Massachusetts, USA), conceived electronic products, but also and above all else a large modular synthesizer, the ARP 2500. The machine used a matrix which connected the different sections of the synthesizer, instead of the traditional cables found in the Moog Modulars. The ARP 2500 synthesiz

Casio CS43 Stand for CDP-100 Review

Casio CS43 Stand for CDP-100
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am very happy with this stand. It is built for the Casio CDP-100 keyboard and therefore, is a perfect fit. The stand was very easy to put together. Since the keyboard is fixed on the stand with screws, there is no fear of it slipping off, which was my biggest worry when I was using a X-stand. It was worth the investment (although I wish it was a little cheaper!)

Béla Bartók - Mikrokosmos Volume 1 (Blue) Review

I have started using these pieces with older beginners with a very good result. Trains reading, hand coordination and ear all at once.

The definitive edition (1987) of the piano teaching classic. Includes an introduction by the composer's son Peter Bartók. (English/Spanish/Japanese/Portuguese text). In 1945 Bela Bartók described Mikrokosmos as a cycle of 153 pieces for piano written for "didactic" purposes, seeing them as a series of pieces in many different styles, representing a small world, or as the "world of the little ones, the children". Stylistically Mikrokosmos reflects the influence of folk music on Bartok's life and the rhythms and harmonies employed create music that is as modern today as when the cycle was written. The 153 pieces making up Mikrokosmos are divided into six volumes arranged according to technical and musical difficulty.

Casio CTK-591 Full-Size 61 Key Keyboard with Song Memory Recording Feature Review

Casio CTK-591 Full-Size 61 Key Keyboard with Song Memory Recording Feature
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently have decided to learn to play the keyboard. As a complete beginner I decided I wouls begin with a keyboard as opposed to a piano to learn, and possibly move up as I gained experience. I must say, after recently purchasing this instrument I am thoroughly pleased.
Upon receiving this, which is the entry level, or lowest priced Casio model to feature btouch sensitive keys, I found there to be to defects in the way that the keyboard functions, and it is free of the low volume problems that are apparant in yamaha's entry level touch sensitive model.
I also learned that, however, the buyer should beware. Not only does this product arrive without an AC power adapter, but it also lacks a sustain pedal, which is essential to anyone who plan to use this keyboard to play at least intermediate music.
The model numbers for the adapter and the sustain pedal are located in the owner's manuel, in case you do decide to purchase this otherwise problem free product. But buyer beware however, that the price listed above is not the final one. Add on approximately, as I know from experience, about 15 dollars for the adapter, and 20 dollars for the "optional" sustain pedal, plus taxes.
Overall, however, besides the additional costs, I have found this product to be of plaesing quality and have no other quibbs about it. The keyboard only possesses 61 keys, however, 27 short of a full 88 key keyboard found on high level digital pianos and acoustic pianos, being 5 octaves plus one key. If 61 keys is not enough, I recommend you look elsewhere.
I may sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not. Some positive features that this keyboard does possess include 100 built in tunes, 50 classical and 50 dubbed "sing along". Examples include Mozart's fantastic "Turkish March", all the way down to "Tne Entertainer", and Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". In addtion, an easy to use three step lesson system and stereo controls round out this entry level touch sensitive keyboard.
For the beginner, I do recommend this product, but beware the extra fees.

Casio WK210 76-Key Digital Keyboard Workstation (Standard) Review

First of all, this comes with a lot to start with. A Songbook, a power cord, and a stand for your sheet music. It has a huge bank filled with all sorts of sounds and songs, and also has many other features as well, including a sampler, which works perfectly. The USB MIDI feature works PERFECTLY, and while it doesn't come with a USB cord, they are very cheep to get. I use this with FL studio and it works very well, even the keys are touch sensitive, and the sensitivity works in FL studio. I love this product.
